In view of the difficulty we face when trying to determine the correct date for insemination of our Bulldog bitches, I wish to share a more precise and easy solution for the benefit of the breed. In the majority of these cases it is we who are at fault and not the bitch who is the problem, so the system I am proposing avoids errors of calculation as well as veterinary costs and disappoitments. Mr.Tony Darmanin, a prestigious English breeder, informed me the system has been used with great success for some time in England . The system is not only simple but also economical and I am attaching two sites to visit one of which is as valid for humans as it is for animals, the other only refers to the latter, both alternatives are equally valid. Anyone who possesses a microscope need not buy anything, merely observe slides through it and compare with the examples on the web page. I hope that this advice will serve the breed well. I understand it is sometimes difficult to contact a veterinary surgeon and trust that this will be a great help.
